Sikora Culpo Duo / Pitayo Music
[LIVE]During their last visit to Mexico, as part of the Eurojazz Festival 2019, they performed in Querétaro and Zacatecas; this time they are back virtually to offer an online concert to Mexican audiences on September 24 via the website of Mexican label Pitayo Music, founded by double bassist, composer and producer Juan Pablo Aispuro. A label which since 2017 has become an important musical laboratory as well as a showcase for contemporary Mexico City music.
Regarding what jazz fans can expect from this concert, Juan Pablo adds that “it is music with a lot of intellectual peace, it calms ideas; and I think that’s a really nice metaphor for how something beautiful always emerges out of chaos, especially in these confusing times. Sikora Culpo Duo’s proposal is a very tangible way of understanding how it is not necessary to organize life so much to find something sublime in it ”.
The Sikora Culpo Duo concert will be broadcast for free on www.pitayomusic.com on Thursday, September 24 at 8:30 p.m.
All you need to do is click on their website and register.
