« Sacred Hearts » is Margitza’s  first release as a leader in more than 15 years, including 11 original compositions; the album was released on February 5, 2021, on Le Coq Records.

Sacred Hearts features the recorded debut of Margitza’s longstanding Paris-based quartet, in which he’s joined by French native pianist Manuel Rocheman and fellow ex pats bassist Peter Giron and drummer Jeff Boudreaux. The core band is also supplemented by guitarist and banjo player Oliver Louvel, percussionist Xavier Desandre Navarre, and vocalists Chloe Cailleton and Pierre de Bethmann.  Later added were session players percussionist Alex Acuna and guitarist Jake Langley .

It has been over 15 years since i released an album under my name. This recording is dedicated ti all the people that i have lost and gained since then. They are all truly sacred hearts.

Truth be Told is for Gerry Niewood.

The Place to Be is for all my extended gypsy family and the good time we had.

Sacred Hearts is for my nephew Nolan Vahosky.

Muse if for all the extraordinary artists who have shaped my life.

Crying is for my aunt Eleanor, uncles Louis and Billy, grandmother Emma, cousins Russel, Jeffery, Jeannie, Renee, Shirñley, Rudy and Junior.

12-123 is for all the new life in our family, many who are singing and clapping their hands on this track.

Leading Lady is for the amazing women who have been part of my life.

Far From Home is for my parents Richard and Eleanor and my sister Karen.

Trail of Tears is fir all the people who have died under the hands of social injustice.

Country Mike is for Michael Brecker.

Poem is for Sabrina Seelig.
